Thank you for participating in the project "Okoloslov" by the curator Zhenia Lapteva.
We would remind you that an exhibition of visual poetry "Okoloslov" took place in the Svetlogorsk`s Listvenichnyi park in August 19-21, in the framework of art festival “Les MUTE” (Kaliningrad region, Russia). Project "Okoloslov", born in network and have been realized into life, have been united together artists from different cities of Russia, as well as from Belgium, the United States and Switzerland. Exposition was based on idea from text to the image: that is, from the figure verse, to the chart, to photographs, collage and video. Special charm of added space. Summer Pavilion, covered with white light fabric in the form of the letter "O" was built in the center of Svetlogorsk near the most famous sculptures of artist Hermann Brachert "Carrying Water". In fact this work of German sculptor became a symbol of the city. Inside of the pavilion has been installed forged bench for leisurely contemplation of visual poetry. In the pavilion there was no roof, that brought him even more with the outline of the letters. And the visitors could see the sky, as if taken in the ring growing in a park with pine trees. Pleased to announce that the exhibition was visited by several hundred people. At the end of the exhibition "Okoloslov" all art works were handed over to the library Baltic Federal University of Immanuel Kant (Kaliningrad). The organizers hope that through these materials students of the Faculty of Philology and Journalism will interested and explore visual poetry.
